Opening poem
poem
What am I afraid of you'd asked
I choose not to say the darkness
Or even the depths that come with height
For it's the sparks that shine less
The absence of you just gives the fright
What am I worried of you'd asked
The times when you feel a bit distant is the thing
A bit lonesome, a bit off and silent
The moment when you're not your true being
For I loathe this silence,
That brings forth a whirlpool of emotion
Some of distress, some of guilt and rest - the ache
For feeling so helpless, not being your solution
But I still love to be a part of it
For it is the togetherness with you, I care of
Even if it feels a bit gloomy, not lit
It's the sunshine you bring I crave of
And it's just you with me that gives the joy
Of all the darks and brights we share of!
