poem
I was unbeknownst of the concept of depth
Of what it entailed or of the limits portrayed
I had not known the meaning of the word, of whats that left
Until I was shown, the gravity it played
For what seemed like mere stares of those green eyes
Have found a profound meaning of deep love in display
What seemed like mere simple hold of your hands
Feels more like the depth of trust in play
Had I not known, what would the feeling of being close to you feels like
Would I ever be known, how being deep in love feels like?
Had I not felt, how our fingers entwined together feels like
How would I know how depth in the gentleness feels like?
For now I feel me drowning into the depths of it
Depth as deep as the ocean below
Depth as deep as the skies above
Depth as deep as the universe at times
And most importantly, depth as deep as your warmest embrace, my love
Well my heart now floats in those depths like never before
Has it learnt to swim like you did I wonder
For I don’t think it craves for shore - no more
Safe haven it found and finds yonder
For in the depths, our hearts they merge
In a place like heaven, they wander
In a place like heaven, they wander
