The Ambivalence of Isolation
Yes, it feels more alive
To embrace this freedom of being with myself This time wherein I choose to be me And fear not of being judged for being oneself
Yes, it feels so peaceful
To be away from the never ending chaos of people around Of being surrounded by vexing talks and noises And filter all the stares of the soul feeding hound
Yes, it feels alright
To be cast away from the worldly duties and responsibilities Spend time on my own and love myself a little more And explore a little more of mine unacknowledged abilities
But, does it feel good enough?
To be always reminding yourself that you're doing just fine Not affected of the echoes of silence at all And not hindered by the darkness and yearned for the shine
Does it not feel lonely?
To be captivated to one’s fears and be shadowed under Living up with vague memories of what you had And to live a dull life, lost all the thunder
Do you not yearn?
To see those smiles, and hear those laughter over cups of tea Of those tiny infinities of joy and love in share Do you not miss those days, or is it.. just me?
