The Day you were Born

In the moment, where I'd lost my balance and tumbled

You gripped my hands to steady me up,

While I waited for the light to pierce through my darkness

You brought the lumen to cheer me up!

I was disgraced on my own perception,

Lost and hopeless - in my own inception

But your mere presence and your feel just lit me up;

Your love, the joys and tears we've shared,

I feel lucky enough, you lift me up!!

Is it just the haze in your eyes? I guess a no..

It was more than just your dashing looks to chase

Was it your personality; gesture or the care you show

That I started caring for you in a million ways.

Still remember the day - you had walked away,

Hurt in heart, I was insecure I'd lose you then

But who would have thought it would turn this way

Beautiful as it is, like the sun after the rain!

And now, we are like those blossoms in the spring

Happily together, sharing our tales and dreams

As merrily we deal with issues and moods we swing

No distance could block those rays or beams!

So I choose this day to show my gratitude for you..

For showing up and always being the best I own,

As I promise to never let go nor give up all through
